Buncombe County Healthy Living Network
a project of the Buncombe County Department of Health and many partners
What do Network members do?
Create new opportunities or
expand existing ones so that
residents can eat smart,
move more, and live better.

Connect partners and
community members
in
creative ways to take action
that improves physical
activity and healthy eating.

Keep us all connected to
the “big picture”
of how our
various activities can
collectively move us  toward
a more healthy community.
Check out the Healthy
Living Map to see the many
issues that network
members are / will be
addressing.
Note: the map
is formatted to print on 11 X
17 paper.

Break down silos that stifle
innovation, keep us focused
on our own turf, and lead to
duplication of efforts and
services.

Measure health and well-
being outcomes
for
decades to come .
Celebrate our successes
and make changes when
needed.

At the Healthy Living Summit in April 2010,
close to 100 volunteers organized into seven
action teams.

We can achieve success together when one
group or organization cannot do it alone.

See a team that interests you? Want to start
another one?
Call 250-5205 to get connected
into the Healthy Living Network.

Action Teams:
During Fall 2010, Teams are meeting to
