Health Disparities and Health Equity
Take Action.
In America, everyone should have the opportunity to make
healthy choices.
However, all Americans do not have the same
People of color and low-income community members are more
likely to suffer from chronic disease or die early than wealthier
whites.

Individual choices certainly do impact health.  But, some policies
in our communities and country place many healthy choices out of
reach for some Americans.  This is especially true for many low
income families and people of color.

of all of our people.  Making sure that every person in America
has a fair chance for a healthy life is not a matter of ideology -
it's a matter of national survival."
