The North Carolina Good Health Directory is a comprehensive referral directory of
statewide resources related to nutrition, physical activity, and tobacco cessation.
Community members and healthcare professionals can search by categories
such as Healthy Eating, Wellness Centers, Physical Activity and search by city and
county. This site provided by NC Prevention Partners.
NC Healthcare Help is a new resource connecting people in North Carolina with
free and reduced cost healthcare services. Click "Find a Provider" in the
navigation bar on the left, then select "Buncombe County" from the drop down
menu. Click in any of the boxes that interest you and click "Submit" at the bottom
of the page to search for local clinics. This site is provided by the North Carolina
Institute of Medicine.
2-1-1 of WNC is a community information service that links people to health and
human services in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania counties.
2-1-1 service is free, confidential and available by phone to speakers of all
languages. Trained referral specialists are available to answer your call and
identify the right resources for you. Call 2-1-1 (cell phones dial 252-HELP [4357])
anytime. This service is provided by the United Way.
NC Breast Cancer Resource Directory provides North Carolina breast cancer
patients, survivors, their families, friends and health care providers with free,
comprehensive information, support and resources to help them through the
breast cancer experience.
